Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Together, we will review your needs and current knowledge. Based on what we find, your educator will create a custom syllabus for you, which we will review together. After your approval of the syllabus, the education begins!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our educators have extensive education and training in our related fields. All of our educators are professional photographers/videographers/retouchers and have at least a Bachelor's Degree.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Private Training is $100.00/hr and sessions are a minimum of 2-hours long. For students who purchase 4-hours or more, we have discounted packages available through our Committed to Learning Program. Discounts range from 10-25% depending on the package. Training hours are good for one year.
What types of students have you worked with?
Every type! From new photographers to advanced, from young to old, we've worked with an extremely diverse group of students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't simply choose an instructor based on their backgroun and experience. Be sure to meet with them (or at least have a phone call) to make sure your personalities work well together.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do I already have an understanding of? What are my future goals? What do I feel insecure about? What do I want to learn?
