Soccer has taught me so many lessons over the years; both on and off the field. While I still play competitively, I enjoy seeing players find the passion for the sport that we all love. It is such a great tool to teach life through and I do not take that responsibility lightly.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our first session is an evaluation session; to help learn the athlete's current level of development as well as recognize their learning style/communication. It also allows for players to learn more about their QTSD© Technical Development Coach.
Initial sessions will cover the following:
• Dynamic warm-up
• Juggling evaluation and instruction
• Dribbling evaluation and instruction
• Passing & receiving evaluation and instruction
• Either finishing evaluation or technical footwork development (depending on location and player progress)
We then speak with parents & player on our evaluation results and professional opinion on the next steps in improvement.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
• LaLiga Formational Methodology License (Level 1 Expert - Spain, Level 1 - US, Level II, and Level III)
**Only 1 of 17 coaches in the world with this level of certification**
• US Soccer (D National, E National, Grassroots)
• United Soccer Coaches (Futsal Diploma, Urban soccer Diploma, & Goalkeeper Level 1)
• Quick Touch Soccer Development (QTSD©) Technical Development Certification (Level I, II, and III)
• Head Coach of 2002/2003G Club Team - 7 years
• Club Director of Player Development - 4 years
• Club Director - 2 years

How did you get started teaching?
I started coaching because of my technical nature as a player. I've always been a player that enjoyed practice more than the actual game (although I'm still very competitive). As my playing career started to wind down, I recognized the good that soccer can play in a person's life and how it can be used to help develop leaders on and off the soccer field.
Additionally, I have been frustrated with the current state of youth soccer in America and recognized the only way to make a change is to take action; no matter how small.
What types of students have you worked with?
Our QTSD© Coaching Team has worked with players of all levels of experience including recreational to international academy athletes. We have vast experience working with players as young as 5 years old to 22+.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Our favorite coaching event is actually one that is not profitable BUT is exactly what we stand for at QTSD©. Each summer, we hold 1x a week QTSD© "Friday Free Play". The event is managed by our coaches but is FREE to all athletes across Columbus.
The players just play and don't have to worry about making any mistakes, any criticism from coaches or parents, and genuinely have fun (as our coaches play too).
The event started small (5-7 players), but by the end of the summer, we had close to 50/60 athletes playing each Friday.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure to ask questions. Soccer trainers are dime a dozen in Columbus, Ohio. But finding a coach who genuinely cares about your development, your life situations, and truly understands soccer is a rare find.
Licensure is not always an indicator of coaching competency. I have played for A licensed coaches that taught incorrect technique and have had teammates without licenses open my mind even more than a coach.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
#1 - What is your goal for the training? What do you want to accomplish when finished?
#2 - How long do you want to train? How long does your coach have to help you develop?
#3 - Are you willing to be held accountable? Can your coach push you when needed, even if you don't want to be?
