Ive been training with QTSD© Coach Joe Pennell for over 7 years! Each season, Ive learned not only much about the game of soccer, but more so about how to succeed in life as well. Since my time working with QTSD©, my foot speed, reaction time and technical ability with the ball has improved a lot! What sets QTSD© apart is their ability to identify your areas of improvement and tailor your training sessions accordingly; truly focusing on you as an individual.
My improvement has directly translated into more playing time with my respective Club and HS Varsity teams. Im glad theyve been able to contribute & watch my growth over the years and I look forward to the years to come with QTSD©!

Over the past couple years, both of our teams have enjoyed much game and tournament success while working with QTSD©. In addition to their superior training curriculum and delivery, I would add the QTSD© team has a way of connecting with each individual player exactly where they are and inspiring them to reach for their next level of individual development as well as team contribution.
Additionally, every one of our girls earned a spot on their High School soccer programs while continuing to reach higher in their overall development.
In my eleven years of coaching youth soccer teams, I have not encountered coaches more passionate about their work or a program anywhere near QTSD©s level of effectiveness!

I am so glad that I was introduced to QTSD© for my daughter. After 12 years of playing competitive soccer, she had developed some injury-causing bad habits. Coach Joe worked with her and has helped her replace those bad habits with solid techniques that have improved her game, built her confidence on the field and avoid injuries. QTSD© adapts their teaching style to match those of their students. My daughter is a visual learner and Joe was more than happy to demonstrate a technique rather that use verbal instruction.
I only wish I had found QTSD© sooner for my daughter. Their coaching approach meets their students where they are; whether a beginner or advanced player. I look forward to seeing my daughter continue to improve her soccer skills with QTSD©s training and enjoy playing the game that she is so passionate about.

My training with QTSD© over the years has helped me fill the gaps that club/high school soccer could not accomplish. I have been training with them for over 5 years and during that course, I have made the top level team at my club, my High Schools varsity team and now am playing collegiate ball. They are both very easy to get along with and make sure each of your training sessions are fun but extremely challenging.
I highly recommend QTSD© regardless if you are at a novice level or a player at the top MRL/ ENCL leagues because they will tailor your training program to fit your specific goals and needs!

Both of our daughters, ages 13 and 18 train with QTSD©. We have found that it has not only stepped up their game on the field, but it has also given them a confidence to try new moves/ideas on the field. We believe in supporting the travel club that they play for, but this is definitely an add-on that is worth every penny!
As each season progresses, our daughters training with QTSD© has been what has set them apart from other players on the field!

Of the myriad of soccer training programs out there, QTSD© sets itself apart from the rest. First and foremost, not only are they great coaches, but great people with an unparalleled passion for what they do. They bring an infectious joy and excitement to every training session and genuinely care about their players.
They are consummate students of the game and have developed a very detailed curriculum that progresses from basic fundamentals, like balance and body position, through very technically advanced dribbling, passing, and finishing skills. They also help the players understand not only HOW to do the skills, but WHY and WHEN to use them, so that they become independently thinking, creative and confident players.
Our daughter has been training with Joe for just over 6 years. The skills and confidence our daughter has gained through QTSD© have translated not only to the soccer field, but to her everyday life and school environments, as well. We are incredibly thankful and blessed that our daughter is part of the QTSD© program.

I started coaching because of my technical nature as a player. I've always been a player that enjoyed practice more than the actual game (although I'm still very competitive).  As my playing career started to wind down, I recognized the good that soccer can play in a person's life and how it can be used to help develop leaders on and off the soccer field.

Additionally, I have been frustrated with the current state of youth soccer in America and recognized the only way to make a change is to take action; no matter how small.

Our QTSD© Coaching Team has worked with players of all levels of experience including recreational to international academy athletes.  We have vast experience working with players as young as 5 years old to 22+.

Our favorite coaching event is actually one that is not profitable BUT is exactly what we stand for at QTSD©.  Each summer, we hold 1x a week QTSD© "Friday Free Play".  The event is managed by our coaches but is FREE to all athletes across Columbus.

The players just play and don't have to worry about making any mistakes, any criticism from coaches or parents, and genuinely have fun (as our coaches play too).

The event started small (5-7 players), but by the end of the summer, we had close to 50/60 athletes playing each Friday.

Make sure to ask questions.  Soccer trainers are dime a dozen in Columbus, Ohio. But finding a coach who genuinely cares about your development, your life situations, and truly understands soccer is a rare find.

Licensure is not always an indicator of coaching competency.  I have played for A licensed coaches that taught incorrect technique and have had teammates without licenses open my mind even more than a coach.

#1 - What is your goal for the training?  What do you want to accomplish when finished?

#2 - How long do you want to train?  How long does your coach have to help you develop?

#3 - Are you willing to be held accountable? Can your coach push you when needed, even if you don't want to be?
