About

Hi, I’m Nikki — Certified Yoga Teacher & Forever Student of the Practice

Welcome! I’m Nikki Tirado, an experienced and registered yoga teacher (ERYT-200) through Life Power Yoga at Life Time Fitness, with credentials listed through Yoga Alliance (ID: 347832). I guide students of all levels—from first-timers to seasoned practitioners—through intentional, heart-centered yoga practices.

My teaching blends the energizing flow of Ashtanga and Vinyasa with the grounding calm of Yin yoga and the deep stillness of guided meditation. Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or seeking to evolve your practice, I’ll meet you where you are—and help you grow from there.

When I first started practicing yoga, I believed flexibility was a requirement—I couldn’t even touch my toes! And meditation? My mind raced in every direction. But over time, with consistency, compassion, and patience, the practice transformed my life. That’s why I love working with beginners—I see myself in them. It’s a joy and an honor to witness their own transformation unfold.

My Approach

Yoga is for everyone. It’s not about being perfect or fitting into a pose—it’s about coming home to yourself. Through mindful movement, conscious breath, and compassionate awareness, yoga becomes a practice of presence—a moving meditation that nurtures the body, quiets the mind, and softens the heart.

Private Sessions

I offer 45- to 60-minute one-on-one private sessions in my warm home studio in Powell or in the comfort of your space. If you don’t have yoga props—no worries. I bring clean, sanitized mats, blocks, and any tools we may need.

Together, we’ll explore a customized practice to support your personal goals and intentions, including:

Increased flexibility, strength, and balance

Enhanced energy, vitality, and breath awareness

Support for weight and metabolism regulation

Boosted cardiovascular and circulatory wellness

Improved athletic performance and injury prevention

Stress relief and emotional resilience

A deeper connection to body, mind, and spirit

Additional Certifications

Level 1 iRest® Yoga Nidra Meditation

Level 3 Certified Reiki Master

These practices offer powerful support for nervous system regulation, emotional balance, and deep inner healing—tools I weave into sessions as needed.

Let’s Practice Together

Whether you're looking for strength, serenity, healing, or a fresh start, yoga can be a powerful ally. I’m here to walk alongside you—guiding your practice with intention, warmth, and care.

Here’s to a strong body, a peaceful mind, and a nourished spirit.

With gratitude,

Nikki Tirado, ERYT 200HR Certified

    Frequently asked questions

Human bodies are beautifully unique and sometimes a little asymmetrical—your right side might feel different from your left, and that’s totally normal. In this space, there’s no competition, no comparison, and no judgment. It’s not about how a pose looks—it’s about how it feels in your body. My job is to guide you safely and attentively. I’ll offer clear cues, options, and support every step of the way. You are encouraged to move at your own pace, take breaks when needed, and listen to your body with kindness. Over time, with consistent practice, you’ll build strength, awareness, and confidence in your breath and movement. You’ll begin to feel more in control, more balanced, and more connected—mind, body, and spirit. And by the end of class, don’t be surprised if you think, “Wow… did I really do that?” Yes. You did. Yes. You can!

How I Got Started When the world paused during COVID-19, I found myself at a crossroads: I could stay stuck in the uncertainty—or choose to move forward and create something meaningful. At the same time, I was recovering from a severed tendon in my right foot, determined to walk again without a limp. Yoga became my lifeline. It guided my healing—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. What began as a personal recovery turned into a profound transformation. That journey reignited my passion for the practice and sparked a deep desire to share it with others. If I could rebuild from that place, I truly believe anyone can. Whether you’re just beginning or coming back to the mat, yoga meets you exactly where you are—and helps you grow into where you’re meant to be.
My teaching experience spans a diverse group of students—beginners to advanced, including seniors, youth, and individuals with mobility considerations such as those practicing chair yoga or using wheelchairs. Because yoga truly is for everybody!

Ask me for my  Free Yoga class -by invitation only, as my way of giving back to the community.  Class is very limited on number of attendees or small group, offered on some occasionale venings for seniors and under privileged who are intimidated to step into a local gym.

Look for a teacher who is certified, registered, and verifiable—someone who has received formal training and is recognized through reputable organizations like Yoga Alliance. But beyond credentials, choose someone who is passionate about their work, teaches from the heart, and creates a space where you feel seen, safe, and supported. The best teachers are compassionate, highly professional, and genuinely committed to your growth—meeting you where you are and guiding you with care and integrity. ✅ Checklist: Choosing the Right Yoga Teacher for You Use this simple guide to help you find a teacher who’s the right fit for your goals, body, and spirit: 📜 Certified & Registered Is the teacher a certified yoga instructor (RYT-200 or higher)? Are they registered with a recognized organization like Yoga Alliance? ❤️ Teaches from the Heart Do they express genuine passion for yoga and student growth? Questions to Consider Before Talking to a Yoga Teacher About Your Needs Before connecting with a teacher, it’s helpful to reflect on your personal health and goals. This allows the teacher to tailor sessions safely and effectively to you. Here are some important questions to think through: Do you have any previous injuries or surgeries? Share any past injuries that might affect your movement or require special attention. Are there any physical limitations, range of motion issues, or chronic pains? Knowing what movements feel difficult or painful helps the teacher modify poses for your comfort and safety. Do you have any health complications or medical conditions? Conditions like hypertension, diabetes, heart issues, or respiratory concerns can impact how your practice is designed. What are your current fitness level and experience with yoga or other movement practices? This helps your teacher meet you where you are. What are your goals or intentions for yoga? Whether it’s stress relief, building strength, healing an injury, or deepening mindfulness—being clear about your goals guides the practice. Do you prefer a particular style or pace of yoga? Some students thrive in gentle, slow classes, others in dynamic flows or meditation-focused sessions. Being open and honest with your teacher helps create a practice that supports your well-being and growth—always honoring your body’s needs and your unique journey.
