Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We offer classes based on our student needs and designed classes. Students are able to register on our website for specific classes. If they don't find what they are looking for we are happy to help get them the workshop they would like.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our instructors are all working artists.
Some hold degrees in art and art therapy.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
It depends on the supplies, length of workshop, etc. All pricing is listed on the website
How did you get started teaching?
I was an avid art student myself in high school, my art teacher is still a working artist! So I decided to study art education in college.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages, preK through adult!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Love to teach Dot paintings and work with kids! I have a Super Hero 4-day camp starting next week that I am excited to teach!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who is a working artist, but can teach. Not all artists are cut out to teach. They know their process but aren't able to commuicate that to others.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How committed they are to learning a technique and how much money they are willing to spend. Most places will work with you.
