If a child knows 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, (s)he is ready for Amy’s Piano Academy lessons! The lesson provides students an excellent introduction to music and prepares them for school.

I am a Founding teacher of the Music Development Program. I emphasize my teaching on cultivating students' interests as well as growing their skills.

Lessons cover ear training, technique, and transposition, as well as sight reading, improvisation, and theory. Students will not only have the national music assessment, but will also have recitals, ribbon festivals and competition opportunities.

I enjoy watching students make progress and enjoy music every week, and I enjoy creating an "Aha" moment for students to reach their potential. I challenge all students to work effectively, productively and musically.

    I would highly recommend Amys Piano Academy. My daughter started learning from Amy when she had just turned 4 years old at All About Kids. Even though my daughter could not read, Amys method of music and numbers (1 thru 5) proved highly effective! Cecilia is now 6 and is playing more complex pieces and learning to read music. After 2 years, Cecilia still loves the piano and enjoys practicing at home as a result of Amys patience and knowledge. The foundation Amy has set for Cecilias musical growth is outstanding, and I am very appreciative of the monthly concerts to help Cecilias confidence when performing in front of a crowd. Her private lessons are very affordable too!

    I have now been taking lessons from Amy for several months and thought I would leave another review and update. Although I have tried to study piano for a long time (albeit inconsistently), in the last few months with Amy, I have a mini-breakthrough and learn something new and important at every single lesson. I am also learning skills in many areas of piano playing, including technique, theory, and ear training. Amy’s lessons are helping me develop as a more complete musician. I feel very fortunate to have an opportunity to study music with Amy.
