About
I obtained my Bachelors in Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing at the University of Akron in 2011 and Masters in Fine Arts in Painting, Drawing and Printmaking at the Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2014. I am currently working at a local community arts center called The Tin Can Chandeiler teaching Introduction to Painting and Drawing classes, Printmaking Workshops and Weaving Workshops.
I am a passionate educator and I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to be creative. My specialties include watercolor, mixed media and printmaking. I enjoy the challenge of creating work that utilizes various forms of media to obtain a final product. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending my free time with my husband Kyle, daughters Lydia and Ruth, and painting in my home studio.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I believe that working in basic ideas and concepts and building my students skills to where we can introduce more complex technical methods is the best process for learning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing for students ranges from $35-40 per hour. This price includes all materials-depending on the type of process and techniques desired, prices will be reflected in the hourly rate and will change accordingly. We will start with at least an hour lesson per session & I suggest at least 8-10 hours of private lessons to be comfortable with any given process.
