Tanya Hough Artistry

Greetings fellow art lovers! I went to art school in the dark ages and retired from teaching in 2017. I am now a full-time artist who paints largely in acrylics. I have a room of art and related items at Stella's Art Gallery in Willoughby, Ohio where my work is for sale. I also give lessons (individual and group) at Stella's. My style is playful and all about color. I like to experiment with different techniques, styles, and subjects and explore the beauty of the world around us. I am relaxed and playful (as I used to teach 8th graders). If you like texture, color, or experimenting with what I call realistic impressionism, I am your person.

I currently have artwork at Seven Brothers Distillery, The Jenks, Willoughby Senior Center, and Stella's Art Gallery. In 2025 I had three solo shows: Penitentiary Glen, Breckenridge, and Ashtabula Arts. I have art on four electrical boxes in Willoughby, and I also participate in several art festivals and related events throughout the year.
