Heather’s Cheer, Tumble, And Stretch Lessons
About
Heather had 11 years of cheer and tumbling experience and has been coaching tumbling lessons for 3 years at North Coast All-Stars. She would coach children from the age of 4 to 18 in either a group setting of up to 20 kids or in private lessons. She specializes in technique, and strengthening skills. She is also very good with teaching and strengthening motions, jumps, and other basic cheer skills. She will focus on conditioning the proper muscles and making sure the child is flexible, strong and ready before they try the skill on their own. Heather is very good with children and will help them in any way needed.
Heather was also a babysitter/nanny so she is very well versed in working with children. If need be, she may double as a babysitter and coach for families who would like their child to have a lesson but cannot be home. She also allows for students to come to her house for lessons.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I will assess their skills. I will then ask them what they are working towards. I will strengthen and condition them so that they can be best prepared and perform their skills properly.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a tumbling coach at North Coast All-Stars for three years. I was also the caption of my high school cheer team where I helped my teammates in strengthening their skills and in learning new material.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$45 for an hour private lesson at the students house
$35 for an hour private lesson at Heather house
$60 for an hour group lesson of 2-4 girls in any location
$15 for a half hour online conditioning and stretching lesson
How did you get started teaching?
I started coaching after I had been going to North Coast All-Stars for tumbling. A staff member reached out to me asking if I would coach for them, I accepted the position and have been coaching ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all kinds of students from various ages of 4-18 and all at different skill levels from a beginners level to an advance level. I recognize that everyone learns differently and at different paces, and am able to adapt well to the needs of the student.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am currently in college and pledged a business fraternity, AKPsi. After a long and challenging pledge process, I was admitted as a full member into the fraternity where I will be able to build connections and grow myself as a professional.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would want the student to be comfortable with their teacher and be able to trust them. Their teacher should be their to guide them in the skills they need as well as being a trusted mentor.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should know what their ultimate goal should be. If they know exactly what they want, the teacher will be able to help them reach said goal.
