Justin Eclavea Baseball Lessons
About
I am former collegiate baseball player who had the privilege to play junior college baseball in California at Cañada Junior College, and division two Bloomfield College in New Jersey. I graduated from Bloomfield College with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2016, before earning my Master's Degree in Sports Administration from East Central University in 2018. Immediately following my graduation in 2016, I was hired on as the pitching coach, and recruiting coordinator at St. Gregory's University. I held the position for a year and a half before it was unexpectedly shut down in November of 2017. Following St. Gregory's, I was hired on as the pitching coach at Blackburn College, a division three in Carlinville, Illinois. Currently, I am the head assistant coach for the Edmond North Varsity Baseball team, and I handle all pitching staffs at every level of the program. Also, I am a coach for the MVP travel ball Organization since the summer of 2019. Since I moved to the Midwest in 2016, I have built up a strong clientele of young athletes that I give lessons to in both the shawnee, and Edmond/OKC Area. While I specialize in pitching l, I also give lessons in both hitting and defense as well. I have a strong passion for baseball, and truly believe that this is my avenue to impact peoples lives in the long term. Having the ability to develop, implement, and teach the game of baseball is something I wake up every morning excited to do. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I look forward to working with you!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When meeting with a new student I like to meet and discuss what that specific students goals are. I want to know where you play, how long you have playing, what your strengths are, what your weakness are, and what is it specifically we are trying to develop.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been giving lessons since I moved to Oklahoma in 2016. I have been fortunate enough to coach baseball immediately after graduating in 2016 at the college level, and now at the high school and travel ball level.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Typically, I charge fifty dollars for an hour, and thirty dollars for a half hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I began giving lessons after working on the side with some youth teams. Once I began assisting youth teams, people began reaching out to me about lessons. From there I was able to network and gain a consistent clientele.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with kids aged from 5-17, both male and female.
