Wren Pfahl, Flute Teacher

The primary goal I have for my lessons is for students of all ages and abilities to gain knowledge, love, and appreciation for all styles of music! Music has been my passion since childhood and I seek to inspire and guide my students to achieve their own unique musical goals. I graduated Summa cum laude from Oklahoma City University in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance (flute) and am continuing toward a Master's degree in Music Performance at OCU where I study with Professor Parthena Owens. After moving from Tennessee to Oklahoma in 2016, I have taught a small private studio in Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas where my students have made CODA and received superior ratings in solo and ensemble competitions. I was a finalist in the 2018 nationwide Oklahoma Flute Society Young Artist Competition, winner of the 2017 Oklahoma City University Concerto Competition, and the woodwind division winner of the 2017 Oklahoma City Community Orchestra Young Artist Competition. I have served as the principal flute and piccolo at Oklahoma City University since 2017 and am a section member of the Oklahoma Composers Orchestra.
