Immaculate Conception Art & Design
About
My services can take you from start to finish. We begin in my little sun-filled studio with techniques tailored to your skill level and finish with your work digitized and edited into professional (and post-worthy!) portfolio pieces. I am an award-winning fine artist and graphic designer with fifteen years industry experience. I've taught artists and designer of all skill level, from beginners of all ages to undergrad art/design majors and working professionals. My studio houses my large collection of "props" such as human and animal bones, preserved plants and insects, ceramic and brass objects and minerals and crystals. There is also a diverse library of 200+ loanable art and design books. Your instruction includes optional complimentary consulting services as well, where we work together to create opportunity and chart your unique path to artistic success.
I love watching artists gain confidence in their skill; I love helping someone who "can't draw" create something that takes their breath away; I love helping an artist explore a new medium or take their work to the next level. So much to love!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I listen. What does the student have in mind? What is the most important objective? Then we can start to assess his or her skill level and chart the content of the classes. Always flexible, always transparent and always easy to talk to; they are YOUR classes!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in Graphic Design with an emphasis in Illustration from Edmond's UCO, a post-bac certificate in Fine Art from Connecticut's Lyme Academy and a Masters in Art & Design Education from Rhode Island School of Design.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
This is dependant on how long and how often you'd like your classes. Typically, a 2 hr class would be $150. The more classes one takes, the less expensive they will be. I also operate on a sliding scale if there are financial hardships, usually we can work something out that makes us both happy.
