I have been a teacher for over twenty years. I am all about helping each student find their creative side. I believe in finding joy in the process of painting more than in the final product. It is important to learn from our "Happy Accidents." I am all about instilling the love of painting and encouraging children to take chances, and color outside the lines.
I love painting. I love teaching. I enjoy helping beginners discover the world of art. Art is therapeutic and fun.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to find out their interest, abilities, and goals. I then like to work with each student to help them to have fun with painting and achieve their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters degree in Education, I have taught art classes to young students and I paint myself. Art is therapeutic and a great way to build relationships and help children feel successful.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
prices are determined by the number of students and supplies provided. $ 45.00 per hour per student. A small discount is given to the second student in the same class. I also do small birthday parties for six to eight students.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching art because I love to paint and we had a need in our elementary school because art was no longer a paid position.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with children ages five to eleven. I work well with beginners. I am patient and able to help children find success.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have enjoyed many musical, theatrical and artisitic events during the holidays.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a good personality fit. You want to have fun while learning.
