I teach the basic skills you need to be competent in making your Art. These include drawing and color theory. To paint whatever it is you want to paint first you have to be able to draw it. Drawing is a skill that trains your eye to coordinate with your paper and pencil to create what you want. It is a skill you can develope by practice. Painting is putting colors to your images. You will learn about the pricipals of color so you can make any color you want and how colors relate to one another. How much you want to learn and develope your skills is up to you. Wether young or old you do not need previous education to learn these basic skills.
I enjoy seeing someone being able to create art. The process is fun and can develope a persons ability to duplicate or create enjoyable effects. Anyone can learn and it gives me great satisfaction to see the smile on the face from someone who can demostrate competence, not to mention the smiles other have from viewing the students work!

To get in communication with the student, find out what experience they have with the subject, and determine exactly what it is they want to learn so I know what to expect in teaching them. The material that will be used, pencils papers charcoal paints canvas ect , depending on which mediums they are interested in and where the materials can be aquired. Then its scheduling of time and a commitment to it, and their understanding of the curriculim to achieve thier goals.
