After more than 20 years of performing professionally and teaching private students I'm a seasoned conservatory Eastman School of Music professional skilled at identifying and enhancing the best qualities in each individual student and addressing technical and musical challenges through technique studies and challenging yet appropriate repertoire. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to speak with the student or parent over the phone first to get a sense of the abilities and reasons for interest in private study. I also like to understand what they wish to accomplish with private study. I propose a curriculum of musical, technique and scale studies.

How did you get started teaching?
I was asked to take over a studio of 40 students before graduating form my master and have taught every year since. I thoroughy enjoy teaching students of every age and ability alongside my management and performing careers.
