About

I am a professional artist who specializes in mixed media and acrylic painting. I am the owner of Elida Art Studio & Gallery, a TV personality for AM Northwest. I teach art workshops and classes to kids and adults, paint live for auctions, and lead art tours in Italy, Greece, & beyond.

My artwork work has been featured in the White House, on the cover of magazines, and can be seen in commercial and private collections around the world.

I pride myself in being able to teach “those who can only draw stick figures” and would love to facilitate any artistic adventure you are willing to take! To learn more about my paintings, prints, classes, workshops, paint parties, auctions, and Art~Women~Wine Tours:

You can also find me on Facebook at “Elida Field” and “Elida Art Studio & Gallery” and on Instagram at “justelidaart.”

My studio is very unique in that my focus is not on the end result but rather the experience people have. I want everyone who comes into my studio or takes any of my classes to leave with a feeling of joy and a positivity. I understand that not everyone I teach will go on to become a professional artist (although many of them), but rather that their experience with me is such a good one and that they will want more creativity in their lives. I get so many damaged artists, adults who had bad experiences as kids or even as adults and their self-esteem with art is so low. They have taken what somebody else said about their art and have allowed that to define them. I would be a millionaire if I had a penny for everyone who said, “I’m not an artist” or “I can only draw stick figures”! We are all artists and my mission is to spark a little fire into each person that I come into contact with. If I can just show them how wonderful creating can be then I believe it will start that little flame. That little flame will grow and they will begin to see the world differently and they will react differently to the world around them. I don’t know if I can call it an “art movement” but a "creative spark" that just helps everyone realize that we are all artists and we are designed to create.

Frequently asked questions

Art For Teens:  Art For Teens  classes are held at Elida Art Studio and Gallery.  We meet weekly and the focus is on learning the basics of acrylic painting as well as growing themselves as artists.
Art-Women-Wine Classes:  These classes are our membership classes where we offer evening, morning classes as well as an afternoon of open studio time.  I teach adults how to paint with acrylics and mixed medium as well as help them find their own style of painting and grow as artists.
Art Workshops:  I usually offer an array of art workshops throughout the month at both my studio and other locations.  We’ve been doing a paint night once a month in partnership with Bethany Vineyards in Ridgefield.  The objective of the workshops is to learn how to paint a certain type of painting in one night or if the workshop is a few days then over a few days, depending on what is taught.  All participants will go home with a finished painting.
