Our coaches are USA Basketball Gold Coaches. 2 of our coaches have been awarded JrNBA youth coach of the year from the Portland Trailblazers
FLAMES mission is to provide a positive environment with high level instruction for each athlete regardless of where we meet them in their athletic walk. FLAMES focuses on the entire athlete, reaching our players academically, socially and mentally with a focus on character growth and sense of community. FLAMES Sports partners with industry leaders such as NIKE, the NBA and the NFL to bring unique opportunities to our Teams, Leagues, Camps, Clinics and Tournament Series. FLAMES strives to be a positive member of our communities and an innovative leader in our industry.
We are currently running AAU Basketball teams for boys and girls out of Vancouver WA, Portland OR and The Columbia Gorge.
We also offer youth basketball opportunities in Vancouver, WA for players not ready to play Club AAU basketball.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Day one I like to run through a full skills assessment. Look at their footwork, ball handling, shot technique and defensive stance.
This allows me to create a plan to focus on weaknesses and push their strenghts to the next level.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been coaching for over 20 years.
I have worked with everyone from Kindergartners through collegiate athletes.
I am a USA Basketball Gold Coach
I was the 1st JrNBA Youth Coach of the year for the Portland Trailblazers.
