Upright And Electric Bass Lessons

Hello! I am Eden Holland, a Professional Upright and Electric Bassist living in Portland, OR. I have played Bass professionally and taught music throughout the Pacific Northwest for the last 10 years. I offer dynamic lesson plans tailored to each student, for all ages and skill levels, with the prime directive of fostering a life-long love of music for every student!

I am a firm believer that learning music should be a fun, rewarding experience. Whether you are looking to pick up music as a hobby, applying to college music programs, or refining your skills as a professional bassist, there is always more to learn, and more to be gained from studying the music arts.

I can help you master the fundamentals of music, and prepare you for the demands of being a professional Bassist. Many Bass instructors play bass as a secondary instrument, or very little at all outside of their teaching studio. In 2023 alone, I played more than 150 professional gigs on both Upright and Electric Bass, playing styles of music ranging from Jazz, Funk, Rock, Pop, Soul, & Gospel, all the way to Avant-Garde Free Jazz and Noise Music. I have learned what it takes to be an effective musician in these environments, and I am confident you can too.
