Hi! I have experience teaching students of all ages, and have been trained by and worked with some of the top music, sports, and news photojournalists in the USA. I have a Master's in visual journalism from the University of Texas, and my work has appeared in Rolling Stone magazine, The Washington Post, and numerous other regional and local outlets. I am comfortable teaching students at any level of experience or skill.
I love being at big events, and if someone wants to pay me to take pictures of a musical performance or basketball game I am there .

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Prior to the first lesson, we will have a brief conversation regarding the student's goals, experience, and equipment. At the first lesson ideally we can spend a few minutes looking at some of the student's prior work and get shooting!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Master's degree in visual journalism from the University of Texas and two years there as a teaching assistant (photography, videography, Photoshop, and Premiere)

$50 for two hours, plus travel expenses where appropriate
