Flip's School of Music is now enrolling new students. Lessons offered are: piano, guitar, violin, voice, cello, viola, bass, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, saxophone, clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, recorder, etc... There are also lessons offered for music theory, composition and arranging, jazz improvisation...and much more!
About the Teacher - Michael 'Flip' McGuire has been an avid musician for over 25 years and has been a music educator for over 15 years. Flip is continually performing w several local bands all over the Pacific Northwest region. He graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania w a B.A. in Music Education. Flip's teaching experiences include: 4th-12th Grade Orchestra, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Rock Band and countless 1-on-1 lessons with students ranging from the ages of 4-85+
Opening up in May of 2010, FSM was located in the heart of Montavilla in SE Portland on 79th and SE Stark. In June of 2013, FSM moved to a more centralized area of 39th and Powell...still located in the heart of SE Portland.
