About this pro

I have been teaching for over 20 years. We have several other teachers that help in all areas. I am active in the Graphic and Fine Arts. If you have the desire I can teach you. I know and understand most mediums and have alot of experience in:

Oils, Pastels, Watercolors, Acrylic, Pencil, Charcoal, Pen and Ink and Guache. I teach all ages from 8 up. I specialize in helping people understand art from a classical, yet enjoyable technique. I have a degree in Fine Art and Graphic Design and have continued my education my whole life.

My classes are serious business. I help teens build thier portfolios and get in to colleges. I travel to other locations as well upon agreement.

Donna's artistic skills are limitless in regards to different mediums (pastel, watercolor, oil, acrylic, etc) and she is totally committed and will work with you until you are satisfied. She encourages uniqueness and freedom of creativity. Koi Studios is more than a beautiful studio in picturesque Bucks County..., it's a weekly "event" and an experience to tap into your inner artist alongside other wonderful people. It's my happy place for sure and Donna has helped create new artists in many of us who didn't know we had it in us!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We discuss thier needs and talk about a direction. Sometimes we start from the ground up and sometimes jump ahead. I access and we take it from there. I want them to be happy but learn at the same time. For young children, I try to keep it fun. One week for me one for them. Adults tend to want to dive in. So we work together to achieve their goals.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts and Graphic Design from Kutztown. I have continuing educations from Parsons, Pratt and Ducret. I have a graphic design company for over 25 years and continue to show my work in private galleries and shows.
