Claire-Anne taught my 82 year old mother watercolor and it made my Mom so happy every week. Amazingly enough her skills improved drastically under Claire-Anne’s tutorials. Claire-Anne was very calm and patient with her which was exactly what my wheelchair bound Mother needed. I recommend Claire-Anne as an Art Teacher very much.

My 12 year old daughter is a very independent self learner who took to virtual learning with Claire-Anne very well. Claire-Anne created Art lesson plans that were thorough and very appropriate for her level and interest and gave her great guidance. My daughter continues her art and I recommend strongly Claire-Anne as an experienced Artist and Art Teacher.

Claire-Anne, a multi-talented teacher that I met 20 years ago at my school, became a very good friend of mine. Fun, creative and open minded, Claire-Anne knows how to entertain and to motivate the students so they give the best of themselves in beautiful, interesting and educational art projects such as sculpture, painting, drawing, mixed media and collective collage. The children are enthusiastic and the results magnificent. Every time, I was impressed!

I’m 65 years old and all my life I have wanted to learn how to draw. Claire-Anne gave me the confidence, support, and skills to do just that. She lets you move at your own pace. While you’re progressing, she gives great tips along the way. If you want to bring out the Artist in you? Get in touch with Claire-Anne.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

When I work with new students, I usually take the first lesson to discuss with them where their point of interest lies in art making and what their goals are. ( Depending on the age.) I also explain to them where we are going from their level of experience and why each step is important. Once I see that we are on the same page of understanding, we begin creating!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am trained in general Fine Arts with an emphasis and degree in Painting and Drawing and as well a 2nd degree in Art Education. I was trained at Tyler School of Art and Moore College of Art and Design where I received my Diplomas.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

My fee is 40$ for 45 minutes to an hour.

50$ for an hour and a 1/2.

60$ for two hours

How did you get started teaching?

I started teaching Art as a passion for believing that creativity and beauty are needed in this world.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with students ranging from Age 6 to 82. Some stayed with me for over 6 years. I can also work with students with special needs. Each came with a different skill level, style, and point of interest.
