Elaine Brady Smith Art

I saw Elaine’s still life paintings in the Millworks gallery and was smitten! Although I was unable to attend Elaine’s workshops, she was gracious enough to do private lessons for me. Her detailed teaching was thorough and enabled me to paint in her beautiful style. She gave invaluable tips on supplies, technique, and framing. I could not have been more pleased. The result of lessons w/ Elaine far exceeded my expectations.

I sincerely appreciate the one-on-one instruction. Elaine is very methodical in her approach. Her instruction is thoroughly explained and proficiently demonstrated . The challenge to grasp her teachings and apply it in my painting is gratifying. If I find myself struggling, she patiently works with me so I am able to understand and resolve the issue. At the end of each session, I leave the studio feeling like I have learned the secrets of the masters. She has unlimited patience. After seeing her finished paintings, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to learn from her and hone my own skills. As a self-taught artist, the knowledge she has shared with me has increased my desire to continue with my painting journey. After several lessons, Ive completed my first painting applying what Elaine has taught me. I am thrilled with the finished product. My painting looks like a masterpiece! Im looking forward to continuing this learning experience. I can say without reservation, I would highly recommend Elaine as an instructor for anyone wanting to improve their oil painting skills....from beginner to professional.
