What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Begin with a mutual interview. I encourage questions. Then we discuss what goals they have in mind for their experience with me, explore different medium possibilities and the level of pre-experiences they have had. Brain storm on some creative subject matters, set up a schedule, then we are ready to rock and roll!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My husband and I have a combined 50+ years experience in teaching various artistic mediums, from tie-dye and batik, to mural work and acrylic paintings, to pottery/raku/pit fire/ceramics. We have worked in school settings, corporate settings, private events, community events, and art centers.
