About
I absolutely love teaching... nothing brings me more pleasure than to see the progress of my students. I teach String Bass, Electric Bass, Guitar, Music Theory, and I also audition coach. I like to start someone off learning solos and standard repertoire while also reinforcing their playing with some great technique, so they can get those flashy chops! no matter what level they’re at! Especially if they have auditions coming up on their radar.. I will help as much as I can so that we can succeed. I have been teaching for 10 years and I have a Bachelor and Masters in Music Performance from Temple University. I also have an Artist Diploma from the McDuffie String Center. I was born in Mexico so I am also fluent in Spanish. I am also currently a soloist hired by Groupmuse and I am assistant Principal bass at LaGrange Symphony, Section Substitute Bassist at South Florida Symphony, Former Section bass at Columbus Symphony, Section bass at Albany Symphnoy, and section bass at Shoals Symphony. I sub with the Vox Amadeus Chamber Orchestra. I also work as the Walnut Street Theatre substitute bass, Charleston Symphnoy substitute bass. I have also taught at Temple university’s String Project program and CMSP for quite some Years. Please call or text my phone whenever because I am 100% committed. I will also always be demonstrating with my own instrument so a student can see and also hear how to achieve the sound they desire. I love seeing the journey my students take, it brings me great joy to see them grow as musicians. Every one of their accomplishment feels as if it is my accomplishment as well. I am extremely grateful to be an educator that lets me be involved in something I'm extremely passionate about.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Electric Bass -String Bass and Guitar
For Electric Bass and Guitar I work a lot with Tabs since that is the most common way to learn songs. However I can teach someone to read music if they would like. I specialize in Funk, Rock, Modern, Slap, and Jazz. We will work on feel, Rythm and technique with both hands.
I love starting with 3 Technique books
These both can be useful for String and Electric Bass1.Strokin 2.Board Walkin 3.Petracci Method
The first two books are very popular and fun and they were both written by the bass teacher currently at Curtis (Hal Robbinson). The second book was created by a famous Italian Soloist named Franco Petracci. These books will give you a great edge over most bassits. I 100% guarantee it.
I will also start you off with some fun exciting songs and pieces so that you learn music right away.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone kind who loves helping through their teaching and most importantly, find a teacher that is not in the business of teaching for passionless reasons. A teacher should be committed to they’re student
