Since graduating from Chestnut Hill College, Hans has worked as an Orchestra teacher for Neshaminy School District, Foundation Academies, and Pennsville School District. During his tenure at Neshaminy, Hans taught a large middle school double bass section that earned an Excellent Rating and Best Overall Double Bass Section at The Music Showcase Competition in 2015. Students in Hans’ studio have earned placements in PMEA District Orchestra, and Youth Orchestra of Bucks County.

Hans started his career as a musician at the age of 5 studying with Suzuki violin teachers. Hans has completed training and certification for Book 1 with Virginia Dixon at the Milt Hinton Bass Institute at Oberlin Conservatory. As a musician that has dedicated his life to urban education, he is always excited to accept new students of all ages in the Philadelphia area.

    Since graduating from Chestnut Hill College with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education, Hans has worked extensively as a teacher, performer, director, and educator. He has taught Orchestra in Neshaminy School District, Foundation Academies, and Pennsville School District. 

    $50 per hour

    $40 for 45 minutes

    $30 for half hour

    Hans started his career as a musician at the age of 5 studying with Suzuki violin teachers in Harleysville, PA. Hans has completed training and certification for Book 1 with Virginia Dixon at the Milt Hinton Bass Institute at Oberlin Conservatory. As a musician that has dedicated his life to urban education, he is always excited to accept new students of all ages.

    Hans has working with students of all ages and abilities. Child beginners to advanced adults. During his tenure at Neshaminy School District, Hans taught a large middle school double bass section that earned an Excellent Rating and Best Overall Double Bass Section at The Music Showcase Competition in 2015. Students in Hans’ studio have earned placements in PMEA District Orchestra, and Youth Orchestra of Bucks County.

    Hans has always gone above and beyond for his students. He is most passionate about seeing students succeed and ask questions. He loves seeing his students become their own teachers.
