Portside is a 501-c(3) non profit community arts center.Since 2008 Portside Arts Center has been enabling children, teens and adults in
Philadelphia to remain uniquely creative through visual art programs year round.
Our mission is to empower the children and adults of our community with opportunities to develop their artistic abilities, awaken the imagination, and build self-esteem and confidence. Through the Arts we provide a safe haven for our community to nurture creativity, diversity, literacy and health for the betterment of all.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Students are invited to view our class offerings via our website. There, they can view classes and descriptions, view session dates, and register and pay through our online portal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our teaching artists are all graduates of fine arts programs in their field of practice, and bring a unique perspective to lessons that cover visual arts fundamentals, and employ arts integration methods to link visual learning to other subjects.

Classes are priced based on duration, materials, and instructor.
