About
Whether you are in elementary school or college, I believe mastering education and individual subjects requires dedication. The easiest way to increase dedication is to increase a students interest in the subject. For me this means, tutoring with various styles and adapting my explanations specifically to fit each student's learning style and interests ultimately engaging them and turning problem solving into a game rather than dreaded tedious work.
I've been tutoring students in various math and science subjects since I was in middle school which gives me the unique perspective of growing up and adjusting my tutor style while growing up myself. The biggest reward of tutoring is seeing a student's eyes soften and light up as their brain works through a tough concept that has eluded them for so long. That spark of understanding and excitement is what makes me love helping students of all ages and I hope to continue to see many more students develop their confidence and mastery of a subject.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I feel it is paramount to understand what aspects of the subject my students are having trouble with. Teaching a student who can't grasp a concept is very different than teaching a student who is having a mental block and concentration problems.
It generally takes up to three sessions with a session to fully understand how they absorb information. This may require hands on aids, videos, games etc to get concepts to stick with the student for increased knowledge retention.
How did you get started teaching?
My love for teaching started when I was in high school as I found myself tutoring many of my peers in math and science.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've tutored students as young as 10 years old through college students. Age factors into how best to deliver content and connect with the student.
