Portside Arts Center provides a creative and nurturing environment that empowers the artists of tomorrow and creates lifelong patrons of the arts. Through dynamic visual arts programming, we encourage students to be globally-minded citizens and fearless artists.

Art on the Rocks
Friday May 8th 7:30pm - 9pm EST

Ages: 18+ to join, 21+ to drink
Cost: $25, or $40 for 2 classes
Grab your paints, beverage of choice, and join instructor Ellen Rivedal and friends for this Virtual Art on the Rocks painting night! Learn step by step painting from Ellen in the comfort of your own home. At the end of class, you will have created your very own painting. Use your own materials, or purchase our suggested paint kit online. So invite your friends, have a drink, and kick off your weekend in a fun and creative way!
Youth Saturday Class
Time: Saturdays 10am - 11am EST
Ages: 4-10
Cost: $10 or $35 for 4 classes
Give your child a fun and creative Saturday morning! During these virtual art lessons, children will explore a variety of age appropriate art techniques learning basic 2D and 3D art skills and create a new art project each week.
Teen Artist Workshop
Time: Saturdays 12pm - 1pm EST
Ages: 11-17
Cost: $10 or $35 for 4 classes
This virtual workshop is designed to help teens build a portfolio of work for school or personal use. The workshops will allow students to expand their artistic skill sets as well as to investigate their individuality and unique identities. Students will be introduced to local and international artists while exploring different basic materials and techniques used in traditional and contemporary art making. They will create a new work of art each week.
Family Art Night
Time: Fridays 6:30pm - 7:30pm EST
Ages: All Ages!
Cost: $10 per family
Have a fun and creative family night together during Portside's Virtual Family Art Night! Parents and children will work together on a collaborative art project using simple art materials all while creating in the comfort of their own homes!
