About

As a youngster, the game came natural to me. Growing up in Pittsburgh PA, I was considered one of the top players in this region. I played in the C.I.T. organization from Tee ball until American Legion. I was recruited as a 16 year old and was invited to try out in the summer of 1995 for the Chicago White Sox. There were over 200 prospects and I flourished as I made it to the final 20 before I was cut. My primary position most of my career has been catcher which always allowed me to learn the game from the coaches seat. After this attempt, I joined the United States Air Force where I spent 9 years. I participated on the base softball team all 9 years and started at 3rd base each year. My coaching background began when my first son was born. I then coached him throughout his 8 year playing career as a head coach or as an assistant manager. My highlight was taking a All-Star team that nobody wanted to coach and helped each player improve and have fun while winning a few tournament games. I feel that my extensive knowledge, natural instincts, playing career, and being a historian of the game makes be the ideal instructor for your son/daughter.

My passion is being able to pass along knowledge of the game and providing proper instruction to any student. Your son/daughter will be a much improved student of the game as they will learn game discipline, proper hitting and fielding techniques that work best for him/her, deeper knowledge of game situations, and more confidence as they see positioned improvements with each session.

    Frequently asked questions

    Based on student needs, it will vary and be customized. Every player is different so the approach I take is to analyze the players current situation and adapt my techniques to improve overall performance.

    I have been self-taught and have many of satisfied players throughout the years. A certification is only a piece of paper to say you know what your doing. That doesn't mean you are the best teacher. I feel with my vast baseball accomplishments and coaching career, I'm well-adept to coaching any ages with positive results.

    Rates are as follows:

    Initial session will be 1 hour. This will allow for proper analysis and strategy planning.

    Cost = $100.00

    60 minute session: $75.00 for both hitting or fielding instruction.

    30 minute session: $50.00 for both hitting or fielding instruction.

    Payments are due prior to and say of scheduled session. NO EXCEPTIONS.

    Forms of payment include Zelle or PayPal.

    I started teaching my son as soon as he began walking. From there I either coached or assisted with his baseball teams until he was 13. I also was the head coach of a little league all-star team duriing his last year of competition.

    Mostly ages 8 to teenage year players.

    Being in the military for 9 years, I found it hard to complete any schooling. So I decided years after I separate to back to college to earn my college degree. I have 2 classes remaining to graduate will be the other family on both parents side to have graduated from college.

    Never be satisfied with OK. Every student that wants to improve can count on me to pass along my passion, my commitment, my excitement, and my baseball IQ and techniques to help you flourish in your baseball career.

    Ultimately, why do you seek instruction? Do I want to hit for power? Do I want to make more consistent contact with the ball? Can mybfiedling improve? I know the game, but can I learn even more from a well-experience instructor?
