I have been mentoring kids for 10 + yrs. I play with them and teach. I have been an assistant coach at East Allegheny High School for 4 yrs. I will not only focus on your basketball skills but also LIFE skills. I wrote a book called Basketball and Life which explains how being a better ball player can make you a better person through hardwork and dedication.

I have a passion for basketball and kids so when I am around both , its not work for me.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I currently coach middle school girls and assistant coach with JV and Varsity boys. I also Mentor at a highschool and Life Coach as well. I have been mentoring for 15+ yrs.

How did you get started teaching?

I love kids and for some reason they gravitate towards me. I think it's because I never forgot that I used to be them. I think adults lose the KID in them as they get older.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with ages 5-25. Elementary to middle school to highschool and college.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Ask questions!! You deserve to know as much about your Teacher/coach/ mentor as you can before hiring them.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What made you want to do this? What do I need to work on? Is there anything I can do better before our next meeting ? What do you expect from me?
