Studio Eight15
About
I am a Pittsburgh based artist who believes that positivity is key to a mindful existence, which is why I choose to project themes of positivity through vibrant colours and texture onto canvas. In 2017 I launched my art business Studio Eight15. My style has developed over the years, as I try new techniques, new types of paint and new brushes. Abstract landscape is probably where I am most comfortable.
Artist Statement
“I would best describe my work as expressive abstract. I work on mostly large scale canvas often incorporating other materials such as gold leaf. I paint intuitively, using bold colour and broad gestural marks alternating between sponge, brushes, palette knife. I am addicted to the irreverent process of creating a painting. Painting requires me to be in the moment. And it’s a wonderful feeling. ”
