About
My service stands out due to my bright, charismatic personality and ability to bring fun and joy into every environment, much like my classroom! Experience in hosting painting parties and a variety of camps and classes has gifted me the ability to entertain while also educating.
I am so passionate about art, and one of my driving forces is sharing the love of art with as many individuals as possible. I currently share my passion for learning and 'arting' with my grades 6-12 students with a broad range of special needs, further gifting me the ability to cater to a broad spectrum of ages and needs! I enjoy adapting to individual needs and preferences.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to begin by discussing goals for lessons and coming up with an educational plan. We can structure classes in a way that best serves you. I recommend beginning with a warm up exercise, then conducting various activities to reinforce skills before embarking on larger projects and assignments. Homework can be offered for additional practice, but is not necessary. Access to resources, information about quality materials and supplies, as well as exposure to historical and contemporary artists are all available.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified educator in the Pennsylvania public school system. I graduated from Temple University's Tyler School of Art with a Bachelor of Science in Art Education including a minor in Art History. I have experience teaching art to students aged PK - senior. I have worked in a variety of settings, including public schools, art studios, art camps, IU's, after school programs, retirement and assisted living facilities, and more. I have ample experience working with people with a broad range of special needs, and happily adapt and modify to meet the needs of all my students.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Virtual instruction starts at $25/hour/lesson. Supplies are purchased by student. Traveling to student may increase cost of lessons. Additional special requests (homework, additional resources) may also increase cost of lessons. I am flexible and happy to work with your financial situations to find the best fit.
How did you get started teaching?
I had a love of education starting with my first steps into school. My appreciation for art grew and was bolstered by recognition at an early age. By high school I was dedicated to learning the arts, and have been passionate about spreading my love for art and education people of all ages and capacities since my graduation from Temple University's Tyler School of Art.
What types of students have you worked with?
Every age!! Early childhood, pre-K aged students through grade 12. I have taught adults of all ages, including seniors and those requiring assisted living. I have ample experience working with children and adults with special needs and or disabilities. I currently teach students in grades 6-12 that require special education services.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have been recently dedicated to aiding my school's English teacher in depicting larger than life portraits of various characters from prominent books. The students love the cross over between English class and art class, and who doesn't love a beautiful mural!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Practice, practice, practice! While we would LOVE to magically turn you into Michelangelo, the arts require continued practice to evolve. Continuously working on dexterity and art exercises will aid in the work that we do. The formal training can only do so much if not actually applied! I suggest to all those seeking to better themselves artistically is simply make art as often as you can! Find the time for a 10 minute sketch, or take up a craft while you binge your favorite show.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Consider your specific goals. Do you wish to draw more realistically? Do you want to better portray people and faces? Do you want to work on high detail? Are you seeking more resources and exposure to the art world? Do you need information regarding materials and supplies? Are you interested in information about local artists, museums, galleries and otherwise community art avenues?
