About
Lessons peronalized to your needs and liking to create unique learning structures that will best suite you.
I have been an artist since I was a toddler; it's a part of my soul.
I have been individually developing and studying a range of artmaking methods since I could speak and have been teaching friends, family, and strangers different modes of artmaking since I was in elementary school. I am now bringing these skills to a professional level via structured lessons personalized to your needs.
I believe art and artmaking are crucial in that they are windows to endless possibility in self expression and communication. I also believe that the creative thinking ingrained in all facets of artmaking engage the mind in higher critical thinking and problem solving skills translatable to all aspects of life. It is my goal to create an atmosphere that enables my students to take their abilities to the aforementioned platforms of critical thinking and problem solving and engage the world through their creations.
The ability to show students their potential as artists and watching them grow as they use that potential to unlock new areas of self-expression and thinking.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Assessment of artistic goals, interests, and current "ability"
example questions:
"what style would you like to work toward"
"would you like to recreate what you see or project what you feel" (a combination is fully possible)
"are there any artists you are interested in or inspired by that you would like to reference and study?"
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Currently an Environmental Science B.S. student, so I like to keep methods very eco-friendly, but my scientific background pushes me to focus on methodology of artmaking; which tools, paints, media, found objects to use and in what manner. I have also refined my concepts of processes and the importance of process in the result of an artwork. Fine tuning your process is where I come in and help you reach your goals as an artist, both visually and conceptually.
