Don Hernandez is a professional dancer from the Scranton Area. He is also a Salsa Dance Instructor for Beginners. Don teaches salsa dancing for all sorts of occasions which include Bridal Showers, Weddings, Anniversaries, Birthdays, Baby Showers, Family Reunions, Graduations, Engagement Celebration, New Years Eve / Day, and the list goes on. For your information, he can teach on a 1-1 or group setting.
Don has been dancing salsa for 9 years. Whether you are new to the salsa scene or getting back to where you started, he provides a fun and friendly learning environment for his students. His teaching philosophy is that all individuals have the capability to dance salsa and incorporate their own style in order to make their mark on the dance floor.
During the group lesson, Don is very organized in the way he teaches salsa dancing through visual, tactile, and auditory. The following concepts covered in the group lesson are basic step technique, timing, accurate posture, neutral position, basic turn for the lead and follower, cross body lead for the lead and follower, combination 1, and combination 2.
