Teaching, sharing, and inspiring are my passions. Other than doing what I love for a living, my love for teaching and inspiring a whole new generation of musicians and teaching them a love for music and respect for music and art of all kinds. Providing my students (of all ages) with a creative and healthy outlet, watching them grow as musicians over the years and seeing their progress as it unfolds are some of the most rewarding aspects for a teacher to see in their students. That and building lifelong bonds that only a teacher and student can share is a lot of respects. We definitely build a sense of comrade, repore, respect, and a great friendship for all parties involved.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I sit with the students and "grade them" on experience, age, musical interest's, any bad habits that need to be fixed (form, sitting and holding the guitar and plectrum (pick) correctly) and basically get a read on where they're at musically and what they want out of taking lessons. Then depending on all that I customize lessons plans to fit the individual student for the best progress for the instrument and music theory in general.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have some college education in music (working on finishing my classes and getting my degree) and have 9 years experience teaching out of Ross Music Sales and Service giving instruction on Guitar, Bass guitar, and Ukulele at all levels and all styles
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
At the store it's the Ross Music's rate 22$ for 30 min and 44$ an hour (if student wants to come to me) but for house calls its 40$ an hour... flat fee
How did you get started teaching?
Being a well known musician in the area when I heard through the grapevine there was an opening for a guitar teacher at Ross Music I went in, auditioned, and got the job. That was 14 years ago. Since then I have moved on to doing online Lessons, worked for School of Rock doing presentations and workshops for them, work for Guitar Center currently and am now taking on online students via "Zoom" and provide the same fun and Intuitive lessons that I'm known for.
What types of students have you worked with?
All kinds and all ages... Teaching beginning classes, to advanced in Jazz, blues, metal, rock, classical, ect... I'm well experienced in all genres. Ive worked with "special needs" kids, helped students with senior projects for highschool, even James Woods is a student of mine... All walks of life.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Bob Dylan getting the noble prize.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher you that fits your criteria. Wether or not the teacher is fluent with what your musical goals are and can help achieve them. Not just someone that's gonna teach you to read but some your comfortable with, can build a bond with, and who understands what you want and need to excell as musician...
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are my goals musically? Ling and short term... Is it just a hobby or something more to you. What bands, artists or styles do you listen to and are influenced by? And make a list of songs you'd like to learn to give the teacher an idea of ur over all taste (and to work them into your lessons)
