About
I am passionate about music and teaching. My goal is to help you succeed to meet your goals. I offer lessons in-person and online and teach students of all backgrounds, ages, and ability levels. No previous musical background is needed.
I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Music Education and Harp Performance from Case Western Reserve University and The Cleveland Institute of Music. I have been a performer and harp instructor for over 25 years, formerly in California and now in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Many of my students go on to a career in music, while others like to play for themselves, family, and their friends.
I am the author of the Harp Syllabus for the Music Teachers Association of California and the owner of Harps Etc. in Walnut Creek, CA. We offer harp lessons, rentals, purchases, music, strings, accessories, and more.
References are available on request. I look forward to helping you meet your musical goals!

I enjoy sharing the harp and the love of music with others. Music brings people together and allows your mind to enter a special "zone" where you forget all your worries. I found my path in life as a musician and teacher and seeing my students progress over time is my best reward.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When we meet, I want to know about you. What do you want to do with the harp? What, if any, is your background in music? What kind of music do you like to hear? What do you want me to know about you?
I also want you to feel free to ask me questions about my teaching experience and whatever else you would like to know.
