Alston's Flute & Theory Lessons

Studying music increases the mind's ability to imagine, think creatively, problem solve, multi-task, coordinate actions of the mind and body, and heighten one's attention to detail. These skills are highly valued in the modern workforce. My goal as a teacher is to develop my students' natural talents through tailor-made lessons designed to meet their specific needs. With more than 15 years of teaching experience, I have developed a solid teaching method which focuses on basic fundamentals and performance. I enjoy working with students of all ages and levels and strongly believe that everyone has potential and deserves a chance to learn and express themselves through playing music.
