I teach both oil and watercolor painting. I emphasize observation, the elements and principles of good design, and the bold use of color to express a poetic description of the model or landscape before us.

Using techniques I learned from my own plein air experience as well as those of master painters enables me to bring intimacy and atmosphere to any subject I decide to paint.
