About

I love to paint and design jewelry, it is my passion. I have been working with children and adults for 30 years. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and did graduate work at Bridgewate State University in Art Education, earning 22 credits. I have so much fun when I am teaching art, seeing the joy and satisfaction on my students faces when they express themselves artistically. The love of art is something that we can take with us wherever we go as long a we live. I show my work in a couple of aglleries on the Cape and received the Barlow Outstanding Art Student of my graduating class in high school.

Painting is my passion and I love to share my Joy of painting with others watch them grow as artists. I enjoy working with children and adults.

Sylvia has been guiding me into landscape painting for a while now. I have always painted animals, old barns and still lifes. She is patiently showing me through her atmospheric technique evident in her ocean scenes. I have also bought jewelry from her.

    Frequently asked questions

When I'm working with a new student I like to find out what style of painting they're interested in for instance realistic or abstract. I also like to find out what type of experience they have painting and what skill level they're at. I'm also interested in finding out what skills or techniques they would like to learn. I like to immersion teach where we start a painting right away and I teach the skills and techniques as we go.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Massachusetts College of Art iand 22 credits from Bridgewater State University in art education.I have a certificate from Decorating Masters Insitute in murals and faux finishing. I love working with people of all ages and have lots of experience doing that, it is so much fun

I get $30 an hour for virtual lessons and when we can start doing in person lessons I get $40 an hour.there is nothing like individualized instruction to help an artist grow whether they're beginners intermediate or advanced

I went to Art School right out of high school and earned my degree, I raised my family and then I went back to school to do graduate work and that's where I started teaching I wanted to be a teacher ever since I was 10 years old there is no better profession

I've worked with students of all ages and cultures

I had so much fun exhibiting at the Plymouth waterfront festival in historic Plymouth ,Massachusetts. The event was attended by thousands of people and the interactions I had with so many people was so interesting and inspiring, they had such wonderful words to say to me about my artwork it was a thrill

I would advise the student to consider what style of painting they would like to learn and to think about what they would like to get out of the lessons I would advise them to seek someone who is highly trained but also very personable
