What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Setup best time and date to work together. Answer some questions about needs and focus for lessons. Student can send images if they have specific questions. Lessons can be live at my downtown Columbia SC location or virtually.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of art with concentration in photography from USC. Worked in portraiture, weddings and photojournalism.

How did you get started teaching?
Studied photography since high school and started sharing my love of taking great photos with friends, scout groups, and previous portrait/wedding clients as requested.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students and young people who are just starting out in photography. I've worked with adults with varying levels of experience. Some who wanted to start their own business and some who just wanted to take better photos of their kids or their travels in retirement. Some people just wanted to get to know how to use their camera better! I can also help with post-processing techniques to make photos look better after their shot.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Review your instructor's portfolio and ask them questions about the topic you're interested in to see if they're a good fit.
