About
My teaching approach is set apart by high artistic standards alongside kindness and warmth. It is important to me that the client is receiving what they need in a lesson to reach their goals, and I always check in at the end of a lesson to ask if the client feels that they have what they need to practice the skills we have worked on.
I am a member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) and the Speakeasy Cooperative (a group of independent voice teachers.) Staying connected to other professionals in my field helps me remain current on research and industry trends. It also allows me to provide really great referrals if a different perspective is needed!
It is so rewarding to see a student come into their confidence as a performer, and to see them gain the skills they need to make the kind of music they have dreamed about making.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by teaching them the foundations of the Blaylock Vocal Method, so they can start to use the system right away to improve their ease and efficiency in singing. After a week or two, we find one or two songs, mutually agreed upon by the student and me, to start applying the skills learned in the exercises. If the student has upcoming performances or auditions, we can shift focus to their performance repertoire to make sure they feel confident and equipped for success.
