About
We are known mostly for our after school art program that has been providing art to the students of Hamilton & Bradley county for over 15 years. But 3 years ago we opened our art studio in East Brainerd where we can work in smaller groups and privately with both children & adults as well as some super fun birthday art parties. Drawing, painting, mixed media, art journaling and glass collage are our main jam, but we love all things creative here.
The best thing about the art and and lessons we provide is the amazing way that self-esteem soars as we build up a variety of art skills. We are all about the "Whole Artist" and advance skills while also building tools to guide them to a strong mindset, increased resilience, creativity & gratitude. I believe this foundation will both serve their creativity and empower them as they grow and face challenges later in life. This is my "Why" and we Have an AMAZING art family here at Creative Art Place!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We meet each student where they are, learn what they like and dive into the fun of art learning as we go. Many lessons are tucked into the work, so we don't always even notice how much we're learning, but we love it and build skills and self-esteem all at the same time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors of fine art from Washington University in Saint Louis. Although I went to school in the midwest, I'm a southern girl and love all the extra syllables we put in our words down here😊 All the teachers here at Creative Art Place are talented, patient & fabulous at guiding people to their best work!
