What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Slow Scales and other techniques that focus on developing the muscle memory needed as well as ear training.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over 20 years playing mostly bass, and electric guitar as well as accoustic guitar. Some ukulele and clasical guitar.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$100 per lesson lasting at least 1 hr.
$50 every half hr after that starting at 30 minutes over. I like to go over a little if needed without any pressure to do so.
How did you get started teaching?
Mostly family, some church friends as well.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mostly beginners, some experienced to open jam.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Some who can identify what the student needs to excel. Every on eis different and approaches the instrument as unique as they are. Make sure your teacher cares about where you are in the process.
