About
Hi I'm Kevin Nunn and artist from East Tn. I will help you paint paintings that you can be proud of! I will also help you accomplish your goals as an artist. I'm very passionate about painting and have painted for several years. I've also studied painting and drawing for many years. I studied under North Light Art School, took a class at the University of Tennessee on portrait painting although portraits are not my main focus. I mainly paint landscapes in the alla prima method ( wet into wet). So if this sounds good to you let me help you .

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would tell any student that wanted to learn oil painting to be prepared ahead of time and focus on what the teacher is trying to teach you. Have all the nesessary equiptment ready to go before even talking to anyone about lessons. Get the credentials of your teacher and ask them questions about how they became an artist and why, plus how qualified they art to teach you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about your goals first, then the techniques will come with the teaching. Always be open with your teacher about your feelings and needs. Tell your teachers what you expect to accomplish before you get started. Ask the teachers advice on the subject matter.
