About
Honestly, it all comes back to the songs! Whether you're learning guitar, singing, songwriting or music theory, you can discover so much from dissecting the music you love and unlock the mystery behind what makes it great. The why! The how! I absolutely love doing this during my sessions. It's fun! It's exciting! And most importantly, it gets us back to to why we began playing music in the first place... because we absolutely love it!
I love what I do and I'm beyond grateful to be able to make a living doing it. Ever since I picked up the guitar at 8 yrs old, music has been my passion and I find so much joy in using it to elevate and inspire others - whether that be through my own songs as a songwriter, a recording and touring artist or simply just sharing my knowledge of music onto others!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our first lesson is spent going over your goals, if you've had any formal training and learn about what style of music inspires you. People want to learn an instrument for all different reasons and I believe knowing that information is crucial in how I tailor my lesson plans for them!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a full time touring musician with 20+ years experience on guitar and 15+ years on various other instruments, singing and songwriting. Aside from teaching lessons for the past decade, I have persued my passion as a Country artist writing, recording, and touring across the US and beyond. www.dylanjakobsen.com
