About
Positive Training exists to equip student/athletes to reach their potential not only in softball and basketball, but in life in general. Positive training places an emphasis on the mental game as well as the physical. Positive Training finds it's passion by watching a young person understand the specific mechanics that are involved in a certain sport and then applying them to become better after the lesson than they were before the lesson started. I have been a varsity softball coach for 18 years and teaching, training and coaching all aspects of the game. Positive Training will make you better. Guaranteed.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will sit with the student/athlete and their parents to get an understanding of what the goal is for the parents and for the students. I will communicate to them the commitment it will take and the hard work it will take to grow and to improve as an athlete.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified and licensed minister been working with youth as a coach, advocate and mentor for over 25 years. This allows me the patience and the grace to extend to each specific student knowing they are unique and designed to learn and take in information at their own level.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
First and foremost I take a moment with the participant and ask them how they're doing today. An hour lesson can get wasted if the heart and mind isn't in a good place. Once we have taken a moment and adjusted any attitude problems we get to work. We first start off the lesson with a few laps to get the blood flowing and to loosen up the muscles. We then do a 5 to 8 minute stretching session and then we go to soft toss. If I am working with softball pitchers we will go to our arm warm-ups, snaps and full rotation technique. I then have specific exercises on where the student athlete is in relation to their level of execution.
How did you get started teaching?
I have four children. I started teaching, coaching and training each and every one while they were in diapers and then it just grew from there.
What types of students have you worked with?
Every single type.
