In my 20+ years of professional experience as a baseball player, scout, and coach, I have had the privilege of learning from some of the greatest minds that baseball has to offer. My father, Lamar Johnson, was first baseman for the Chicago White Sox and Texas Rangers, from 1974 - 1982.
My baseball career started at Martin High School in Arlington, TX. I went on to play college baseball at Grambling State University before signing a professional contract with the Milwaukee Brewers.
After my playing career, I spent 11 years as a Major League Baseball Scout for the Milwaukee Brewers, Boston Red Sox, and Houston Astros.
After my time as MLB scout, I won a Collegiate Sunbelt League championship as a head coach, and coached six years at the high school level.
In addition, I have more than twenty years of experience doing one-on-one hitting, fielding, and pitching lessons.
I really enjoy teaching and helping players live up to their potential. I think sports and being on a team is very beneficial to a young person's well being.
