What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I find out how advanced they are by asking a few questions. I then provide them with some material to take notes along with some exercise we will be covering. I usually begin with an exercise to warm up that introduces the note on the neck. If I am teaching a beginner I would then have teach them how to project a nice clean sound with right hand and left hand technique neck and how to properly hold the bass. The student will have the freedom to learn at their own pace.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing bass for the past 20 years in the DFW area. I teach every week and play every weekend.
