Jarett Davis was great and went above and beyond to help me be successful!

This class was the perfect refresher for me. I already have my CHL but wanted more information and functional knowledge on carrying my gun. Jarett was an excellent instructor in the classroom and especially at the range. I am getting more comfortable handling my gun and he helped me understand positioning of my body, hands, etc to better shoot and be stable. Highly recommend!

I grew up around firearms most of my life. My grandfather had several of them in the his house and always instructed to never touch them, so I never did. To be honest I think I was afraid of their power. I took Jarett’s class so that I could become more confident and comfortable around firearms, and if I ever find the need to protect myself knowable on how to use it safely. Jarett did an excellent job explaining all the functions of the firearm to me and eased any concerns I had. I was somewhat nervous to ask questions for fear of sounding dumb, but he created a safe space where all views and inquiries were welcome. I was very apprehensive about the qualifying time on the range, but once again, Jarett was thorough in his explanation and made sure everyone stayed safe. There are all kinds of opinions about firearms these days. I’m sure there are a lot of women like me who may be afraid of them for whatever reason. The firearm is only as dangerous as the operator. If you equip yourself with the best tips + tricks (shared in Zulu Defense Academy’s basic pistol firearms class), then you have nothing to fear. I will most definitely be going back for his pistol 1 & 2 course which shows how to employ a firearm effectively if needed, but also how to be situational aware and avoid the need to use it.
